T-Mobile’s HTC One now available to pre-order from Let’sTalk

19:53

While browsing HTC’s site today for details on the Developer Edition of the HTC One, we noticed that the pre-order page for T-Mobile’s version of the silver 32GB HTC One is now available. Remember that ordering phones from HTC’s site is actually partnered through Let’sTalk.com, in other words a third party vendor for the convenience of ordering from HTC’s website.
T-Mobile has not officially listed the HTC One for sale, but reports suggest it will be in stores later this spring and they will only be carrying the silver model with 32GB’s of internal storage. If you are a new customer or eligible for upgrade the HTC One can be yours on T-Mobile for $199 with a new 2-year service plan and shipments will be begin on April 18th.
The phone details don’t seem to be listed completely accurate here, because it says NFC is not available and says that it does have support for a Micro SD card with a removable back cover. We noticed these details are also listed on the Sprint version from the same interface through HTC.com so we think we are looking at some sort of mixup with the version we talked about earlier this week going to China. Another strange detail if you select that you are a current customer and want to buy this phone off contract the price comes to $649.99 which is the same price as the unlocked model with 64GB of internal storage, but at least you can get $100 if you pre-registered for the trade-in program.

Some users, like myself, are pretty much bound to buying the T-Mobile version compared to the unlocked offering, because there is no sign of HSPA+ in my local area and it is hard to justify buying a phone for a data speed that might be here this summer.
If you want to pre-order yours now, keep in mind this does not qualify you for the rebate offered on T-Mobile’s sitethat also includes the car dock (approx. $40 value) for free. You should however, be eligible for the $100 trade-in offer if you signed up for that during the window HTC had it listed.
