Verizon HTC One sign-up page goes live

04:55
Interested in purchasing the HTC One from Verizon? Someone at Verizon has flipped the switch of the handset’s sign-up page. just enter your email and Verizon will send you the “latest information about the HTC One on the Verizon network.” We’re sure that they will keep their promise, but we suggest you keep an eye on our site since we’ll probably post the handset’s price and launch details before Verizon get around to sending out a mass email to anyone. The image on the page is the first time we’ve seen what the Verizon HTC One will look like. For the most part, it looks the same as other versions of the HTC One on other US carriers, but there are a few things to note:
  • Very large Verizon 4G LTE logo on the back
  • September 5th date below the time
  • Metal finish on the back looks somewhat different than other devices.
In a few instances, the date on the screen has corresponded to the date that the device is announced or goes on sale. Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee that the September 5th date actually means anything since HTC is not consistent. It could just be the image that looks slightly different, but the Verizon HTC One may have a slightly different shell. Verizon has been working hard to incorporate wireless charging in most of their high-end Android phones over the past year (one of the reasons the Droid DNA was different than the HTC Butterfly). There have not been any rumors which suggest that the Verizon HTC one would have wireless charging, but the added feature may explain why Verizon is launching the device this late in the year.
Hopefully the next time we write about the Verizon HTC One, we’ve have official launch date and pricing details to share. Stay tuned!
