HTC confirms North American HTC One roll-out will be delayed until April

11:49
If you were still hoping that HTC would be able to pull off a North American retail launch of the HTC One before the end of March, we have some bad news. The company has released an official statement which confirms that North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific markets will not be getting the HTC One until April. While most of us will have to wait 3-4 more weeks to get our hands on the HTC One, HTC has confirmed that the phone will be available in Taiwan, UK and Germany next week.
“HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One, and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April. We appreciate our customers’ patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait.”
While HTC is not fessing up to the reason for the delay of the HTC One, rumors have been floating around that the Ultrapixel camera sensor may be to blame. The delayed retail launch of the HTC One will certainly hurt HTC’s chances of getting a step or two ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S 4.
Even with a delayed retail launch, do you agree with HTC that the HTC One is worth the wait?
