HTC is pushing out yet another software update to the unlocked and Developer Edition HTC One. The 17.5MB update is said to include “system enhancements” which should improve the performance of the HTC One. We’re still hoping the Android 4.2 update will be released soon, but it’s nice to see HTC working to constantly improve the HTC One and squash any bugs in their custom software.
If your HTC One has not yet received the 1.29.1540.17 update, you can manually ping HTC’s servers by going to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now. We have not spotted anything new since installing the update a few hours ago, but we’ll update this post if we do. If you spot a change after installing the 1.29.1540.17 update, please share it in the comments below.
