New details show that the Windows Phone 8 powered HTC Tiara will showing up in Sprint stores across the country by late spring. While T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T currently feature the stunning HTC 8X, Sprint’s HTC Tiara seems to have more in common with the HTC One SV than its WP8 counterpart.
The HTC Tiara is rumored to features a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, an 1800mAh battery, 8 megapixel main camera, 1.6 megapixel front-facing camera and a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The only real difference between the HTC Tiara and the HTC One SV appears to be the Tiara’s 8 megapixel camera sensor. We’re not sure why Sprint chose to order a custom low-end Windows Phone 8 from HTC when the HTC 8X has proven to be one of the best WP8 options currently on the market.
The exact launch date of the Sprint HTC tiara has not been locked down yet, but the device is expected to go on sale in May or June. Since AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile are currently selling the HTC 8X for less than $100, we would be shocked if the HTC Tiara were to carry a price tag higher than $30 with a two-year contract.
