HTC One versus the world – benchmark showdown

With the first round of HTC One pre-order’s set to ship on March 15th, we thought this would be the perfect time to show you how the HTC One handles itself when compared to some of the most popular Android phones currently on the market. Over the past week, we’ve shown you how the specs on the HTC One stack up against the Samsung Galaxy S III, Note II, Nexus 4 and Apple iPhone 5, but the benchmark numbers below give us a good idea of how well all those internal component inside the HTC One will perform.

When the HTC One goes on sale later this month, it will be the most powerful Android phone on the market. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor used in the HTC One can easily blow away its competitors, but we know that HTC will see competition heat up in late Q2 of 2013 as Samsung and other smartphone makers start releasing new devices with the same Qualcomm chip. Benchmark scores do a great job of measuring the peak performance capabilities of a device, but they don’t always give us a clear indication of how a phone will feel or operate in normal day-to-day use.
