HTC Thunderbolt’s long-awaited Android 4.0 update officially available – dreams really do come true

02:14
Those of you still holding on to your HTC Thunderbolt, patiently waiting for a  new version of Android, should be happy to hear that the Android 4.0 update has started to roll out. While the roll-out of the update may be nearly six months late, it’s not completely unexpected since Verizon posted details of the update on the HTC Thunderbolt’s support page late last week.
The OTA update brings the device one step closer to the newest version of Android, although, I don’t believe we’ll ever see an official Jelly Bean release for the Thunderbolt.  The new Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update weighs in at a hefty 395MB, so we’d suggest you update when connected via Wi-Fi to minimize your data plan usage.
Don’t forget to let us know if you’ve received the update and how you like the new changes.
