Exclusive: T-Mobile’s HTC One to launch with LTE support

09:52

A few hours ago, we revealed that the HTC One (formerly known as the HTC M7) would be making its retail debut in the U.S. at T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T stores on March 22nd for $199.99 (32GB) and $299 (64GB).  While the retail date and pricing details for the HTC One are nice, T-Mobile customers were left wondering if the new flagship phone from HTC would include support for T-Mobile’s LTE network. Fortunately, a trusted source gave us the answer that many of you were hoping for.
Our source claims that the T-Mobile HTC One will ship with support for T-Mobile’s LTE network. At the moment, T-Mobile’s LTE network is being tested in Las Vegas and Kansas City, but T-Mobile is expecting to have over 100 million people covered with LTE by the summer, with the total number reaching 200 million by the end of the year.
At this point, it hard to say if the HTC One will be T-Mobile’s first LTE device. According to TmoNews, the Blackberry Z10 is expected to land in T-Mobile stores in mid-March,  but the rumored date of March 27th does come after the expected retail availability of the HTC One. T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II is capable of supporting T-Mobile’s LTE network; a system update must be pushed out to these device in order to enable the functionality.
